# For journalists and researchers

## Free research reports

Our public dossiers are paid for by client work. Part of that work goes back to reporting, with the same AI-assisted research system and analysts our clients use: qualifying journalists, newsrooms and researchers can ask us for a research report free of charge. A report can include:

- company, ownership and court records on a company or group of companies in your story, and on the people connected to them, with each record archived;
- an entity map and a timeline drawn from those records;
- the source pack behind one of our dossiers, and an analyst's walk-through of it;
- a check of a document or a claim against the public record.

Every report states what we could not establish, so you know exactly how far each finding goes.

## Who qualifies

- Journalists at established news organisations, and freelancers with a record of published work.
- Researchers at universities, think tanks and non-governmental organisations.
- The work must be in the public interest and published or shared openly, not used for a client, a transaction or litigation.

Capacity is limited, so we take on requests in the order they arrive and may decline one when it conflicts with client work, our independence or our [acceptable use policy](https://osint.v3rta.com/acceptable-use/). We tell you quickly if we cannot help.

## How to ask

Write to **{{emails.press}}** with your name and outlet or institution, the question you are working on, the companies concerned, and your deadline. We reply within one working day. Requests are read only by the analysts who handle them, and we do not share your research with anyone.

## Using our work

Our dossiers are free to read, cite and republish under CC BY 4.0: credit “DossierTwist” and link to the dossier. A research report is yours to use in your work; please credit us when you rely on it. Responsibility for what you publish, and for giving the people concerned a chance to reply, stays with you and your editors.

## Media enquiries

For comment on one of our dossiers, interviews with our analysts or questions about how we work, write to **{{emails.press}}**. To report an error in a dossier, write to {{emails.corrections}}: corrections are shown on the dossier itself, with their date.
