1Property-company roles
analysisThe Austrian official register identifies NB Immo Deutschland KG, FN 482800a, as a limited partnership registered on 19 December 2017. Nathalie Benko is its personally liable general partner; NB Immo GmbH is the limited partner. The partnership’s stated focus on eastern German property does not make it a German-incorporated company or establish title to a particular building. 1
analysisA retained 2025 investigation account identifies Nathalie as NB Immo’s managing director and lists EUR 15.5 million of transfers from René during 2018–2023 labelled equity for property investments. It reports an Ibiza villa and balance-sheet losses for 2022 and 2023. The transfers and reported property ownership do not by themselves establish fraudulent gifts, wrongdoing by NB Immo or a Spanish property-title finding. 2 3 4
analysisNathalie’s name also appears in the title of Nathalie’s Kids Charity Privatstiftung, FN 532415p. The retained history records liquidation in February 2025 and deletion in July 2026, and named board appointments for Marcus Mühlberger, Aksel Lund Svindal and Franz Josef Hillebrand. Its incorporation summary identifies the chairman only as N. B. and the deputy as B. H.; those initials alone do not identify Nathalie or another named person. 5

2The safe trial and acquittal
analysisThe October 2025 indictment account alleged that Nathalie helped conceal René’s assets by arranging a safe in Pfunds, purchased on 6 March 2024, the date of his personal-insolvency application. The trial account describes alleged concealment of EUR 120,000 cash, eleven watches and accessories. Both René and Nathalie denied wrongdoing. The defense said eight watches and cufflinks were Christmas 2021 gifts to their two sons and three watches were gifts to Nathalie for charity auctions, occasionally borrowed back by René. It described the cash as Nathalie’s household money and savings largely set aside years earlier. Nathalie’s lawyer said the safe was acquired to protect her own diamond rings during a move; the rings were expressly not part of the indictment. Discovery in a shared safe did not establish ownership of every item. 1 2 3 4
attributedThe October 2025 account of the safe-and-watches indictment alleged that Nathalie Benko helped conceal her husband’s assets by arranging a safe in Pfunds, bought on 6 March 2024. Investigators reportedly found 11 luxury watches, EUR 120,000 cash, cufflinks and rings there in January 2025. 1 2 3 4
- qualification
- The charge and the discovery of objects did not establish ownership of every item.
- response
- The Benkos disputed the accusations. Her lawyer said she bought the safe to protect her seven diamond rings during a move. The retained trial account states that the rings were not part of the indictment.
- outcome
- On 10 December 2025 Nathalie Benko was acquitted entirely for insufficient proof; René Benko was convicted in relation to two watches and four pairs of cufflinks but acquitted on other property. The report stated the judgment was not then final. Later retained material says his conviction was confirmed in September 2026 with sentencing still before the Innsbruck appellate court. The judge said shared access to the safe prevented attribution of all items and considered her own valuables a plausible use of it.
attributedOn 10 December 2025, Innsbruck Regional Court partly convicted René Benko over concealment of valuables and imposed 15 months' suspended imprisonment and a fine of 360 daily units at EUR 12. Nathalie Benko was acquitted in doubt. A later retained account reports Supreme Court confirmation of the conviction in September 2026, with sentencing still for the Innsbruck appellate court. 3 2
- qualification
- The December 2025 ruling was a partial conviction of René Benko and acquittal of Nathalie, with both denying the allegations. A later account reports confirmation of the conviction in September 2026, while sentencing remained for the Innsbruck appellate court.
- response
- Both defendants denied wrongdoing. The defense said the watches had been gifts to the sons or to Nathalie for charity auctions and sometimes borrowed back; it described the cash as Nathalie’s household savings, largely set aside years earlier.
- outcome
- Nathalie Benko was acquitted in doubt. The later account reports René Benko’s conviction confirmed, with sentencing still to be determined by the Innsbruck appellate court.
attributedAt the 10 December 2025 trial, René and Nathalie Benko denied allegations of concealing EUR 120,000 cash and eleven watches and accessories worth EUR 248,817. The court partly convicted René and acquitted Nathalie in doubt; the 15-month suspended sentence and fine were then not final. 2 4
- qualification
- This reported account establishes the described actors, period and scope, not an independently confirmed later status.
- response
- Both defendants denied wrongdoing. The defense said the watches had been given to the sons or Nathalie for charity auctions and sometimes borrowed back, while the cash was Nathalie’s household savings, largely set aside years earlier.
- outcome
- Nathalie was acquitted; René partly convicted and sentenced to 15 months suspended and a fine, then nonfinal. Later conviction confirmation and sentencing status are recorded separately.
analysisOn 10 December 2025 Nathalie was acquitted entirely for insufficient proof. The reported reasons included shared safe access and a plausible use for her own valuables. René was convicted regarding two watches and four pairs of cufflinks because his use of those items led the court to regard them as his property, but he was acquitted on other watches and cash where ownership was uncertain. The report stated that the judgment was not then final. Later retained material says his safe-case conviction was confirmed in September 2026 while sentencing remained before the appellate court. The partial rejection of his gift defense does not turn Nathalie’s acquittal into guilt. 1 2 3 4

3The separate EUR 2 million matter
analysisA different August 2026 account concerns EUR 2 million transferred from René to Nathalie in January 2023. Prosecutors alleged attempted fraud in a civil proceeding, saying she defended a gift as maintenance and René contributed allegedly false testimony. Nathalie maintains that the payment was maintenance and appealed the full repayment order. The retained account states that the civil judgment was not final. This episode must remain separate from the acquittal in the safe-and-watches trial. 1 2 3
attributedA retained August 2026 account reports an attempted-aggravated-fraud investigation into Nathalie Benko’s defense of EUR 2 million transferred by her husband in January 2023: prosecutors alleged she described a gift as maintenance to defeat a civil recovery claim, with René Benko allegedly contributing false testimony. 1 2 3
- qualification
- The criminal allegations and the nonfinal civil repayment order are distinct proceedings. A maintenance defence and appeal do not establish that the payment was lawfully retained or that litigation fraud was proved.
- response
- Nathalie Benko maintains the payment was maintenance and is appealing the full repayment judgment.
- outcome
- The EUR 2 million civil repayment order was not final in the retained account. This episode is separate from her acquittal in the safe-and-watches criminal trial.
